Our ancestors in Scotland have been traced back 8 generations. The majority of these ancestors lived in Perthshire, as
farmers, ministers of the Church, and in towns as millers and grain merchants. The last generation in Scotland was that of
John Ramsay who married Elisabeth Pearson in 1789 in Perth. Of their 7 children, only two married and had children. Of those
two, the only one with current descendants is Dr David Ramsay, who emigrated to Australia.
There are other descendants in the UK of John Ramsay's brothers and sisters.

Please also contact us if you have more information to add.
These trees were compiled by Belinda Cohen, using information contributed by many Ramsay descendants, but especially
by Jean Marginson in Scotland.
